La Crête (literally "The Ridge") is a hamlet in north-central Alberta. It was first settled by Europeans in 1914, and grew with the arrival of Mennonites to the area in the 1930s. La Crête officially became a hamlet in 1979. This token, minted in 2003, was part of a campaign to reconstruct La Crête's Main Street. The obverse displays an engraving of the La Crête Motel.
