1953 No Shoulder Strap, Short Water Line Canada Dollar Circulated

As on all of the lower denominations, the 1953 silver dollars occur with two obverses, called the No Shoulder Strap (or Fold) and Shoulder Strap (or Fold) varieties. To better identify these differences, one must look at the letters on the legends. On the No Shoulder Strap variety, the letters have a pronounced flaring. The Shoulder Strap variety have much more subdued flaring.
